NOVUS Fund Invests in ALEGRIA: AI-Enhanced Medical Centre for Expats and Tourists in Lisbon

ALEGRIA is a medical centre that combines traditional healthcare services with cutting-edge technology, including Artificial Intelligence.

The NOVUS Fund, created in partnership with Banco Português de Fomento, has invested in ALEGRIA Medical Centre, a company established to serve expatriates and tourists in the heart of Lisbon, offering classic medical services with a multilingual team. The clinic covers a wide range of specialties, from women's health to dermatology and nutrition, combining general medicine, specialized care, and complementary therapies.

Currently, it has over 20 professionals across 16 specialties and invests in cutting-edge technology, including artificial intelligence. Alegria aims to establish itself as an international reference centre, promoting accessible healthcare and a sustainable work environment.

This investment falls within the scope of the VENTURE CAPITAL programme by Banco Português de Fomento, designed to foster the growth of companies with scalable business models and strong sector potential. Under the NOVUS Fund, this objective is pursued through investments in technology-driven solutions that make use of Artificial Intelligence.
